Leduc is the Living City with the Right Connections!®
In 1999 the City of Leduc celebrated their 100th Anniversary as a municipality. Leduc provides easy connections to air, rail and highways. It is conveniently located 15 minutes from the City of Edmonton and 5 minutes from the International Airport.
The oil and gas industry has been the base of the local economy; however, as the city has grown, the dependency upon the energy sector has been reduced. Almost half of Leduc/Nisku businesses are well-established in other areas of industry, and the City promotes business connections locally, regionally and internationally.
Housing in Leduc offers greater value for your housing dollar compared to similar units in Edmonton. There are high exposure properties and excellent expansion opportunities along the Highway 2 industrial area, and the area is one of the busiest and fastest growing business sites in the province. Low property tax and no business tax are attractive features the City of Leduc offers.
The city has a wide range of recreational activities including a hockey arena, an indoor swimming pool, a curling rink, baseball diamonds, rugby field, and even a biathlon range. You can experience lovely green space and footpaths connecting the parks and city's neighborhoods. Canoeing, swimming, ice racing and cross country skiing are enjoyed at Telford Lake in the William F. Lede Regional Park. With a golf course and a fishing reservoir located nearby, the fun never ends.
Leduc is a flourishing community with a prosperous future, and continues to build ongoing global economic connections.
